15. Fucked Up- The Chemistry of Common Life (Matador)

Its hardcore fun for the whole family from these Tubby Dog eating award winners.

14. The Hold Steady- Stay Positive (Vagrant)

This album will grow on you by the Twin Cities hardest hitters since Hrbek and Puckett.

13. Drive By Truckers- Brighter than Creations Dark (New West)

Patterson Hood keeps rolling, a long way from Gangstabilly.

12. Tronic- Black Milk (Fat Beats)
Some Back pack from Detroit with some twisted beats.

Not since the Avalanches have I heard so many samples and has this much damn fun.

London Zoo is a pissed off dance hall/hip hop fusion from Ninja Tune, The Bug is a bad bad man.

good call re Q tip big El and all those albums in fact. not much electronica in 08 then? shame as the previous years had some great beats like LCD and so on. Some good albums on that list for sure. What about Black Ice by AC/DC though??? Wasnt that 08 or was it 09? Fucking great album....

Only 2 vaguely electronic albums, Bug and Girl Talk. Are you serious about Black Ice? I am doubtful.
